Rhonda C. R. Burton
This work was in a show I had last year and the work represents the elements of nature that I encounter and am inspired by daily. I photograph the gorgeous panoramic sunsets, dramatic cloud formations, lush flowers, trees and beautiful succulents I see every day.
Though my artistic practice has evolved from abstract watercolors to photography over the years, I strive to bring a painterly touch to my current work. I have always been intrigued by color, flowing lines, textures, and repetition of patterns, and that is what influences my artistic vision and the lens through which I see the world.
In addition to this collection of prints, I create a line of fabric, stationery, and home goods featuring my imagery.
These photographs are printed on 1/8” acrylic and backed with a 1/8” of brushed aluminum, held together by 4 standoffs. The image sizes range from 15.5”x15.5” to the largest piece of 27.5”x27.”
